3) Comparison Review Highlights Between OIL’s Diffusion Based GuideLink™ Technology and Conventional Guide Forming techniques---------as of 3/15

The presentation provides a focused review of polymer waveguide formation techniques that are the primary routes used today for creating waveguides using various polymers. The dominate approach is to use some form of etching or possibly molding and/or embossing to create ridges and/or trenches to be backfilled to complete a functioning waveguide. OIL’s technique depends on monomer diffusion initiated by photo polymerization of guide forming regions that results in unique waveguide capabilities are summarized and compared to the alternative approaches. Selected applications demonstrate OIL’s capability. A summary of performance characteristics measured to date is included.

4) Multi-channel Monolithic Data Network Monitoring Taps as of 11/15

The presentation provides a focused review of OIL’s capability to form dense arrays of polymer waveguide splitters for data network taps for monitoring the signals in data center applications. Several designs are reviewed describing our unique features for insuring balanced operation with internal mode scramblers. Examples of packaging and some early performance features are included. Work is on-going with advances for improved operation to be reported on elsewhere.

5) Optical InterLinks Fiber Ribbon and Shuffle Capability and Example Product Review

The presentation reviews our capability for creating custom fiber ribbons from long to short lengths, with various fibers and up to 64 fibers in a ribbon. Also we review our ability to construct small pencil sized perfect shuffles as well as incorporate fiber shuffles in backplanes for signal distribution to daughter boards where typically our polymer waveguides can complete the interconnection to board components.
